Meet Lisa: The Heart Behind GKB Jewelry
I've loved pretty, shiny things for as long as I can remember. That passion for jewelry and style took root back in junior high, and honestly, it hasn't slowed down a bit. All these years later, I still get just as excited over a beautiful new piece as I did back then.
Where It All Started
This business is in my blood. My parents sold clothes, jewelry, and accessories on the road for years, and I grew up watching my mom work. She didn't just sell things; she knew her customers. She understood their style, often before they knew it themselves, and they trusted her completely. Watching her build those relationships taught me the most important lesson of my career: trust isn't a bonus in this business. It's everything. It's not about making a sale. It's about creating a beautiful friendship through fashion.
What I Believe In
I love people. Every single person who walks through my door, or scrolls through my shop, is special in their own way, and I genuinely enjoy figuring out their style with them. If they don't quite know what they're looking for yet, we'll find it together.
I'm also, admittedly, one of the pickiest people you'll ever meet when it comes to product. Whether a piece is $15.95 or $115.95, it has to meet the same standard: quality, every time. I personally examine every single piece that comes through: how the clasp works, how a necklace or bracelet lays. Nothing hits the floor unless it's as close to perfect as I can get it.
To me, my customers aren't just customers. They're friends. And there's nothing I love more than the moment when the right jewelry, great style, and great people all come together.
The Name Behind the Business
GKB comes from my only two nieces, Gracie Kate and Bella, whom I absolutely love and adore. Both are incredible young women. Gracie Kate is headed to my alma mater, Ole Miss, this fall, and Bella will be starting tenth grade. It's hard to believe how quickly life moves.
My hope is to build something that lasts: a thriving business that Gracie Kate and Bella could one day be part of, whether that means helping me grow it or carrying it forward themselves. We'll just have to wait and see how God writes this story.
Thank you for being part of mine.
